Some caregivers are required to complete initial training. Initial training classes are for new caregivers who need beginning classes to start their careers as caregivers. Initial training classes can also be for caregivers who need to refresh their caregiving skills, and in some states, would actually be required for caregivers that have not been trained within the past two years.
Initial training classes are completed before the annual training. Therefore, you must complete the initial training before you can start the annual training. After you have completed the initial training, the annual training will automatically assigned and appear in your student dashboard.
Annual training includes classes that need to be completed each year in order to comply with state requirements. In most cases, you will have 12 months to complete this annual training unless otherwise instructed by your agency.
If you have further questions regarding the content of your training classes (initial or annual), please contact your agency administrator.
