With CareAcademy's curriculum management tool, it is possible to establish an initial and annual training curriculum, also known as a "curriculum track", that will automatically be assigned to the caregivers based on their caregiver group. A caregiver group can only be associated with a single curriculum track. The caregivers associated with this specific group will automatically be enrolled in this curriculum track. It is important to remember that a caregiver can only be associated with one caregiver group at a time.
We're sure that there will be instances where you would like the foundational training offered to caregivers to differ based on role or experience. For this reason, it is possible to create as many curriculum tracks on your administrator dashboard as you wish.
Developing multiple curriculum tracks can be useful if you hire different levels of caregivers. For example, you might be interested in offering a different initial and annual training curriculum for Companion Caregivers versus Personal Care Attendants. Creating a curriculum track specifically for office staff can also be beneficial if you wish for them to take annual training such as HIPAA or Sexual Harassment Prevention with CareAcademy.
When planning on which tracks to create, we recommend considering how you wish the initial and annual curriculum to differ from your other curriculum tracks. If you're instead interested in just assigning a one-time ad-hoc bundle of classes, such as a Dementia class bundle, to a group of caregivers we recommend that you utilize our "Add Classes" feature for this purpose.
We also recommend creating curriculum tracks with your desired caregiver groups in mind. It's important to note that multiple caregiver groups can be associated with the same curriculum track.
Step 1: Select the "Curriculum" tab
Step 2: Select the "New Curriculum Track" button. Enter the desired name of the new curriculum track when prompted.
Step 3: Once the curriculum track is named, you will then be asked if you would prefer to start with an empty curriculum or to copy a previously created curriculum. If you choose to copy a different curriculum track, then you will start with an initial and annual bundle identical to the curriculum track you choose.
Step 4: Upon selection, you will be navigated to a list of your curriculum tracks, now including the new curriculum track you created.
Step 5: Select the "View" button to begin editing the initial and annual bundle of your curriculum track.
