Exams and surveys are populated with question pools that must be created separately prior to the exam/survey. Question pools can either be made with “exam questions” or “survey questions.” Question pools are able to be reused in multiple exams/surveys. It is also possible to add more than one question pool to an exam or survey.
Step 1: Select the “Library” option from the dropdown menu in the upper left hand corner
Step 2: Go to “Question Pools” and click on “Add Question Pool”
Step 3: Enter the Title of your Question Pool
Step 4: From the Type dropdown select the desired type of question
- “Survey Questions” can be rating questions, feedback questions, or choice questions and have no right or wrong answer.
- “Exam Questions” must have a correct answer, can be set in many ways including graded, ungraded (knowledge checks), and/or timed exams, and offer additional question types.
Step 5: You can also add Tags at this stage. Tags make a question pool easier to find when you are searching your library to add a survey to a drafted course. Once complete, click on “Save”.
